Belarusian Defence Minister to Attend CIS Defence Ministers’ Council Meeting

A meeting of the CIS Defence Ministers’ Council will take place in Moscow on 26 May. The Belarusian military delegation led by Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov will attend the meeting.

In accordance with the agenda, the defence ministers will exchange views on 19 issues covering such areas of cooperation as counteraction to terrorism, combat and field training of military personnel of the CIS member states, preservation and popularisation of historical and cultural heritage in the military sphere.

The defence ministers will also discuss the Plan of Joint Actions of the CIS Armed Forces for 2018.

The decisions taken at the meeting will be aimed at developing the CIS military component.
