Belarusian Military Women’s Team Becomes World Champion in Team Accuracy!

The World Military Parachuting Championship finished yesterday in Kubinka, Russia. Belarusian athletes – representatives of the Armed Forces Sports Committee and Special Operation Forces showed good results, winning nine medals.

It is to be recalled that three years ago our skydivers became world champions. Both men and women participated in the competition, and our women’s team entered the top three.

Our female soldiers become world champions in Team Accuracy and were ranked second behind the Russian team in Team Overall. The participants made more than three thousand jumps in just ten days of competition. The complexity of the rounds can be judged by the strict rules for performing jumps and landings. In the accuracy landing competition jumps were performed at 1,000 m above the ground and the athletes had to touch down on a target whose centre was 2 cm in diameter.

In the individual style event jumps were performed at 2,000 m above the ground. The athletes were given 20-35 seconds to perform a group jump with a set of different combinations. Our professionals coped with all the difficulties, showing all their skills.

Congratulations to Belarusian athletes! Keep it up!
