Exercise Dashing Eagle 2015 Begins with Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of the joint Belarus-China anti-terrorism exercise Dashing Eagle 2015 was held today at the Brestsky firing range.

The exercise will involve a mobile company of the 382nd Independent Mobile Battalion of the 38th Independent Mobile Brigade of the Special Operations Forces, Belarusian Army and an airborne special operation company of the Chinese Air Force.

The Dashing Eagle 2015 will be held from 15 to 27 June under the leadership of Commander of the Special Operations Forces Maj. Gen. Vadim Denisenko.

The exercise will allow military personnel to enhance combat abilities and develop psychological compatibility when operating as part of consolidated multinational divisions and share experience in organising and conducting special operations when carrying out anti-terrorist missions.

The previous exercises Dashing Eagle were held in 2011 and 2012. They are a logical follow-up of the strategic partnership with China.
