New Appointments

Belarusian President has made personnel changes in the Armed Forces. On 15 January, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the relevant decrees.

The head of state has released Colonel Andrei Gurtsevich from the position of Commander of the Troops of Western Operational-Tactical Command of Air Force and Air Defence and appointed him Head of the Belarusian General Staff Faculty, Deputy Head of the Belarusian Military Academy.

President of Belarus has released Maj. Gen. Alexander Volfovich from the position of Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander of North-Western Operational Command and appointed him Commander of the Troops of North-Western Operational Command.

President Alexander Lukashenko has also appointed Maj. Gen. Valery Gnilozub Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander, North-Western Operational Command.

Igor Korol has been appointed Chief of the 72nd Guards Joint Training Centre.
