Belarus and Iran Discussed Topical Issues of Bilateral Cooperation in the Military Sphere

Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Defenсe and Support of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Strategic Planning Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik.

The sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere and exchanged views on global and regional security.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to the situation in the Middle East. Belarussian side confirmed its principled and consistent position on current regional and international security issues.

The meeting was constructive and confirmed the mutual interest of Minsk and Tehran in further deepening cooperation aimed at enhancing regional stability and security.
