A meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation was held in Moscow.
Defence Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, held a number of talks devoted to military-technical cooperation and visited one of the enterprises of the Russian defence industry.
An official welcoming ceremony was held for Union Minister of Defence of
the Republic of the Union of Myanmar General Tun Aung visiting the
Republic of Belarus.
The programme includes a meeting between Defence Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, as well as visits to the Belarusian Military Academy, military units of the Armed Forces, and a number of other Belarusian enterprises operating in various sectors.
On 21 May, representatives of the International Military Cooperation
Department of the Belarusian Defence Ministry took part in the regular
Belarusian-Serbian consultations on military cooperation planning.
Accredited representatives of the foreign military-diplomatic corps in Belarus from 11 countries visited border facilities along the Belarusian-Polish direction.
A working meeting was held in Minsk between representatives of the Media
and Public Affairs Department of the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan
and the Information Department of the Main Ideological Directorate of
the Ministry of Defence of Belarus
During a meeting between First Deputy Chief of the International
Military Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Defence Ministry
colonel Yuri Kharin and Colonel Pedro Tiago Kauwa, Defenсe Attaché at
the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in the Russian Federation and
in the Republic of Belarus (concurrently), working contacts were
established and prospects for cooperation between the defence ministries
of the two countries were discussed.
Kazakhstan hosts an international seminar on the Vienna Document 2011 on
Confidence- and Security-Building Measures. A representative of the
Belarusian Defence Ministry is participating as an expert in this
seminar.
