A Working Visit of a Cuban Military Delegation to the Republic of Belarus

A Cuban military delegation headed by the Commander of the Cuban Revolutionary Air and Air Defense Force is on a working visit to the Republic of Belarus.

The Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus hosted talks between the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Major General Andrei Lukyanovich and the Commander of the Cuban Revolutionary Air and Air Defense Force Brigadier General Mario Ernesto Rodriguez Penaranda.

There was a thorough exchange of views on issues of further co-operation. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing contacts in the Air Force and Air Defence Forces.

Also during the visit of the Cuban military delegation to the Republic of Belarus, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces — First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus Major General Viktor Gulevich met with the Commander of the Cuban Revolutionary Air and Air Defense Force Brigadier General Mario Ernesto Rodriguez Penaranda.

The parties noted the constructive nature of the Belarusian-Cuban cooperation, summarised the interim results of the previously held joint activities in the field of bilateral military cooperation.

The parties expressed their commitment to maintain an active dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
