In the framework of international military cooperation

The International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defence hosted a meeting between the Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Assistant to the Defence Minister for Foreign Military Policy Colonel Valery Revenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Santiago Perez Benitez. The meeting also included the accreditation of Colonel Mónica Milián Gómez, military, naval, and air attache to the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation and in the Republic of Belarus (concurrently).

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on urgent issues on the international agenda, discussed the current state of international military cooperation between the two countries, as well as prospects and directions for their further development.

The fact that this is the first accreditation of a Cuban military diplomat to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus is significant.
