The 841st Guards Artillery Group of the 11th Guards Independent Mechanised Brigade and the 111th Guards Artillery Brigade, Western Operational Command held a field firing exercise at the Obuz-Lesnovsky Range. The military employed the BM-21 Grad MLRS, the 2S3 Akatsiya and the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, the Msta-B towed howitzer, the Shturm ATGM and the Sani mortar.
