Military Diplomats Take Part in the Observation of the Exercise Slavic Brotherhood – 2020

On 22 September 2020, foreign military diplomats accredited to the Belarusian Defence Ministry took part in observing one of the episodes of the second stage of the operational-tactical exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2020 of the Belarusian and Russian armed forces.

A briefing containing detailed information about the joint exercise taking place on the territory of Belarus from 22 to 25 of September was presented to foreign representatives at the Brestsky training ground. Military diplomats were able to observe the actions of the troops, practicing the issues of landing, seizing and holding a bridgehead to provide a counteroffensive in order to restore the original position, as well as issues of providing air support.

It should be noted that on 21 September, Belarus informed the OSCE member states about the exercise Slavic Brotherhood - 2020, despite the fact that this exercise is not subject to notification due to its parametres. The information was presented as a gesture of goodwill in the interests of ensuring the transparency of military activities carried out on the territory of our state.
