Vladimir Bely

Vladimir Bely was born on February 17, 1977 in the village of Nikolayevshchina, Stolbtsy District, Minsk Region, Belarusian SSR.

Military education:

He graduated with honours from the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus in 1998.

In 2011, he graduated with honours and a gold medal from the Command and Staff Faculty of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2018, he graduated from the General Staff Faculty of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

During his military service, Vladimir Bely held the following positions:

Commander of a Motorised Rifle Platoon and Commander of a Motorised Rifle Company in the 120th Guards Motor Rifle Division;

Deputy Commander of an Independent Motorised Rifle Battalion; Deputy Chief of Staff – Chief of the Operational Group; Commander of a Mechanised Battalion of the Independent Guards Mechanised Group; Commander of an Independent Guards Mechanised Battalion in the 120th Guards Independent Mechanised Brigade of the North-West Operational Command;

Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the 19th Independent Mechanised Brigade;

Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the 103rd Guards Independent Mobile Brigade; Commander of the Guards Independent Airborne Brigade;

Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces;

Chief of the General Staff Faculty – Deputy Chief of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus;

Commander of the Western Operational Command;

Chief of the Main Combat Training Directorate of the Armed Forces.

On July 8, 2026, Major General Vladimir Bely was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus by a decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
