Consultations between representatives of the Belarusian and Serbian defence ministries on topical issues of military-political situation and military cooperation planning for 2017 were held in Belgrade, Serbia on 13 February under the 2017 International Military Cooperation Plan.
Within the period from 6 to 9 February, the Republic of Belarus will be visited by the US inspection group under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) for the purpose of conducting an inspection of a military unit of the Armed Forces (at the inspectors' option), which is the subject to control under the provisions of the CFE Treaty.
From 6 to 9 February 2017, planning conferences on the participation of the Russian troops in the exercises of the 38th Guards Independent Air Assault Brigade and 103rd Guards Independent Airborne Brigade will be conducted within the framework of the bilateral military cooperation between the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces and airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces.
Representatives of the Belarusian and Latvian armed forces will meet in Minsk from 31 January to 2 February to discuss the implementation of the Agreement on Additional Confidence- and Security-Building Measures between Belarus and Latvia.
From 24 to 27 January 2017, a Belarusian inspection group will conduct an evaluation visit to a specified area in the Federal Republic of Germany under the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures.
On 16 January 2017, Belarusian Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov met with Coordinating Minister of Security of Ecuador Cesar Navas, who was on a visit to our country.
A Canadian inspection group will visit Belarus on 16-19 January. The group will inspect a military unit of the Belarusian Armed Forces (at their option), which is subject to control under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe.
A Polish inspection group will visit Belarus on 10-12 January under the 2011 Vienna Document.
The inspection group will conduct an evaluation visit to the 336th Reactive Artillery Brigade.
Serbian Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic is visiting Belarus from 9 to 12 January under the 2017 international military cooperation plan.
On 21 December, Minsk hosted a meeting of the CSTO Military Committee.
