Director of the Equipment Development Department of China’s Central Military Commission Visiting Belarus

A representative Chinese military delegation is visiting Belarus on 17-22 May. The delegation is led by Gen. Zhang Youxia, member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of China’s Communist Party, member of China’s Central Military Commission, Director of the Equipment Development Department of China’s Central Military Commission.

During the visit, the delegation will take part in the 8th international arms exhibition MILEX-2017.

The Defence Ministry today hosted a meeting between Belarusian Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov and the head of the Chinese military delegation, as well as talks between Deputy Minister of Defence for Armament, Chief of Armament Maj. Gen. Igor Lotenkov and the delegation. The parties discussed ways of further developing cooperation in the military and military-technical sphere.

During their stay in Belarus, the delegation will also hold talks with Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev and visit a number of defence companies.
