International Military Cooperation Issues

Belarusian Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov has today held talks with Maj. Gen. Yuri Dashkin, secretary of the CIS Defence Ministers’ Council.

The parties discussed the results of the work of the CIS Defence Ministers’ Council Secretariat in the first half of 2016, key multilateral military cooperation activities for the second half of 2016, multilateral cooperation activities among CIS member states for 2017 and participation of the Belarusian Defence Ministry in the Army 2016 forum and exhibition.

The decisions taken during the talks will contribute to establishing common approaches and mechanisms for the development of the CIS military component.
