Strengthening Military Cooperation
A Russian military delegation led by Commander of the Airborne Forces, Hero of the Russian Federation Col. Gen. Vladimir Shamanov is visiting Belarus on 21-24 June under the 2016 cooperation plan between Belarusian and Russian defence ministries.
The Special Operations Forces Command hosts the delegation.
The Russian delegation attended the requiem meeting and watched the reenactment of the events in the Brest Fortress on the night of 21 June, as well as visited the 5th Fort in Brest and the Zhirovichi Monastery.
On 24 June, Col. Gen. Vladimir Shamanov will present the Medals for Strengthening Military Cooperation to Belarusian paratroopers who landed on the North Pole in April 2016.
