Cooperation with OSCE

On 16 June 2015, Belarusian Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov met with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on military-political areas of the OSCE’s work in Europe, discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the Belarusian Defence Ministry and the OSCE, as well as addressed other issues of mutual interest.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the OSCE concerning a joint project on the elimination of liquid rocket fuel components.

The project will ensure the safe removal of liquid rocket fuel components from Belarus’s territory and environmentally-compliant disposal of the components with the OSCE financial and technical support.
