Under Open Skies Treaty

From 20 to 24 April, German and Latvian inspectors conducted an observation flight over Belarus and Russia on board a Swedish SAAB-340B observation aircraft under the Open Skies Treaty.

From 20 to 24 April, a representative of the National Agency for Control and Inspections, Defence Ministry department, participated in an observation flight of the Belarus–Russia inspection group over Poland on board a Russian An-30B observation aircraft. The inspection was aimed at verifying military activities in the observed state.

From 21 to 23 April, representatives of the Belarusian and German armed forces held a meeting at the Bundeswehr Verification Centre in Geilenkirchen, Germany to discuss arms control cooperation. The parties discussed the implementation of international arms control treaties and bilateral cooperation in 2016.
