Within Military Cooperation

On 23 December, Belarusian Defence Minister Maj. Gen. Andrei Ravkov met in Moscow with Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.

The defence ministers discussed current and future military cooperation and joint combat and operational training activities, including the Union Shield 2015 exercise, which will be the main event of the Belarus-Russia joint military training in 2015.

Other issues under discussion included training of Belarusian service members in military schools of the Russian Defence Ministry and commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
